Hey everyone!
My name is Eric Power. I have been an animator for quite some time and have completed a large multitude of projects ranging from feature films to music videos. I love to experiment in a wide variety of styles, and constantly push myself to achieve even more fantastical ideas in unique and surprising ways.
I love what I do, and I love showing my creations to you.
I am available for all lines of work, so if you are in the mind for some animation let me know!
Hear what people are saying about my work!
Falling cliffs, dancing skyscrapers, and a hunter who receives hole-punched enlightenment from Shiva; Eric Power’s stop-motion animation isn’t the primitive Gumby clay-jerks of earlier times. Austin-based Power, who runs his own production company called Clear Production, constructs painstakingly detailed, vivid, and bustling animation with a mesmerizing blend of stop-motion, claymation, digital art, painted newspaper, origami, and ink drawings. Two lovers made out of yarn tangle each other up and roll into a yarn ball; a black and white city is spontaneously transformed into a vividly-colored world by two flying bicycles. Power’s weird-crazy-awesome animation is bound to leave you asking two questions: “How’d he do that?” and “How long did it take?”

This beautiful mixed media video hits all the right notes. The song is melancholy and borderline depressing, and the imagery that appears on the screen compliments that tone almost perfectly. It’s a peek into an alternate universe of one-eyed clay creatures. Despite having very little in common with the human race, Power conveys their longing and misery seemingly without effort.
“Take Care” may unintentionally be one of the year’s most unique and rewarding music videos. See for yourself.

It's been a while since I saw a music video that really caught my interest, but the colorful construction paper world shown in the video mixed with the gorgeous finger-picking folk-pop of the Austin band, The Lovely Sparrows song is really exceptional. Created through use of paper machete backgrounds and stop-motion animation, the video provides beautiful images of nature, changing seasons and some truly organic instruments. The song pulls you in with its lovely acoustic guitar and a peppy chorus that features handclaps and a flute. I got to hand it to the videomakers because they made a wonderful video

Is it any surprise that the trippy new video by The Boxing Lesson is as innovative as their Floydian space rock? I suppose not.
